The Molí de Monsalvà in Polinyà de Xúquer hosted the Ribera de Xúquer AEDL Meeting, a one-day event that brought together professionals from the Agency for Employment and Local Development (AEDL) of Ribera Alta and Ribera Baixa with the aim of strengthening collaboration between municipalities, sharing experiences and generating new opportunities for joint work.

The meeting began with an institutional welcome and featured a programme focused on knowledge sharing, participation and the creation of synergies among professionals who work daily for the economic and social development of their municipalities.

Throughout the morning, various topics were addressed relating to the region’s current and future challenges, as well as opportunities for local transformation. Participants took part in several networking activities, spaces for shared reflection and participatory activities aimed at fostering cooperation between municipalities.

One of the highlights of the day was the session dedicated to collaboration hubs for the territorial transformation of the Ribera de Xúquer, where experiences, initiatives and proposals were shared to continue advancing towards the creation of a more cohesive, innovative and competitive region.

“The meeting has also set aside time for socialising and professional wellbeing, fostering a friendly atmosphere that has facilitated the exchange of ideas, the making of contacts and the strengthening of relationships between the different technical teams in the region”, explains Toni Barea, president of the Consorci de la Ribera, comprising the associations of municipalities of Ribera Alta and Ribera Baixa.

The network comprises more than 60 AEDL professionals from municipalities across the Ribera de Xúquer region. This regional representation highlights the importance of continuing to consolidate spaces for coordination and networking to drive the region’s local development.

“The Ribera de Xúquer AEDL Meeting concluded with very positive feedback from attendees, who highlighted the usefulness of the event for sharing experiences, establishing new professional connections and identifying opportunities for collaboration between municipalities”, continues Barea.

The event was organised by the economic development department of the Consorci de la Ribera, through PATER (Territorial Pact for Employment in the Ribera). In addition, institutional representatives from the Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta and the Mancomunitat de la Ribera Baixa attended the event.
