The Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta is working on Local Action Plans for the Urban Agenda

3 March 2025

The Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta has presented to the town councils of the municipalities of the Ribera Alta affected by the DANA with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants, the initiative to draw up the reconstruction agenda FOR THE MUNICIPALITIES, and to submit an application for an ERDF grant to carry out the investments planned in that agenda with a financing percentage of up to 95%.

The content of the reconstruction agenda by functional area will consist of a complete diagnosis in accordance with the 10 Strategic Objectives of the Spanish Urban Agenda and the identification of those actions that are a priority for the municipality and that are related to the damage caused by the DANA (physical, economic and social).

According to Paqui Momparler Orta, president of the Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta, this is an initiative that could be very interesting for the municipalities in our region affected by the DANA, as it aims to unify efforts and facilitate the subsequent management of the actions to be undertaken.

The town councils have to confirm their participation in this joint initiative over the next few days.

The twelve municipalities in the Ribera Alta affected by the DANA with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants are as follows: L’Alcúdia, Alfarb, Alginet, Benifaió, Carlet, Catadau, Guadassuar, Llombai, Montroi, Montserrat, Real and Turís.
