The Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta sponsors the Ciutat d’Alzira Literary Awards 2023 in the essay category

The Ajuntament d’Alzira hosted a press conference for the Ciutat d’Alzira Literary Awards, organised jointly by the Ajuntament d’Alzira and Bromera, in which the Mancomunitat has sponsored the 25th Mancomunidad de la Ribera Alta Essay Award since 1999.

This essay prize aims to promote the creation and dissemination of literary ideas. In this regard, essays on any subject may be submitted, covering any field of thought (literary, philosophical, artistic, social, historical and political), of general interest and originally written in Valencian or any other variety of the language.

In addition, the Cultural Days were presented, which during the months of October and November will host concerts, talks and activities related to this year’s theme: ‘Recovering the green’.

The event was attended by the Mayor of Alzira, Alfons Domínguez, the Councillor for Culture, Israel Pérez, the editor of Bromera, Josep Gregori, Salvador Montañana, acting president of the Consorci Ribera y Valldigna, the president of the Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta, Paqui Momparler, and José David Torres, secretary of the UNED in Valencia.
