2 March 2026

Virginia Garrigues Francés, Director General of Employment and Training at LABORA, visited the Consorci de la Ribera, formed by the associations of municipalities of Ribera Alta and Ribera Baixa. The new head of this service held a working meeting with the institutions that make up the Pater, the Territorial Pact for Employment in La Ribera.

The Pater is a regional agreement created in 2004 within the Consorci de la Ribera. Its objective is to achieve permanent economic development capable of generating sustained growth based on the efforts of endogenous productive resources, business creation and consolidation, and the regularisation of the labour market, promoting the integration of all people who wish to access employment under equal conditions.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Toni Barea, president of the Consorci de la Ribera; Paqui Momparler Orta, president of the Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta; Rafael Gisbert, president of the Mancomunitat de la Ribera Baixa; Nuria Gil, manager of the Alzira Business Association; and Edu Gómez, regional representative of the UGT trade union.

During the meeting, Virginia Garrigues Francés showed interest in the functioning of the Pater, noting its importance for employment in La Ribera. The presidents of the associations and the Consorci informed her of the situation in each institution, and a productive exchange of ideas took place.
