On Monday, 13 October, the Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta received a visit from a delegation from the Mancomunidad Trinacional Fronteriza del Río Lempa, made up of institutional representatives and technicians from this group of municipalities in Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador. The two associations are twinned and have joint activities planned until Wednesday.
The delegation was welcomed by Paqui Momparler Orta, president of the Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta, who gave way to the presentations. The Central American representatives come from the municipalities of Chalatenango Norte and Chalatenango Centro (El Salvador), Esquipulas (Guatemala) and San Francisco del Valle (Honduras).
At the first meeting of the visit, the Agency for Equality and Coexistence of the Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta gave a presentation to share its work. During the three-day visit, more institutional meetings and visits to the territory are scheduled to ensure a productive encounter that continues to strengthen relations between the two sister associations.
