The Molí de Monsalvà in Polinyà de Xúquer hosted the Ribera de Xúquer AEDL Meeting, a one-day event that brought together professionals from the Agency for Employment and Local Development (AEDL) of the Ribera Alta and Ribera Baixa with the aim of strengthening collaboration between municipalities, sharing experiences and generating new opportunities for joint work.
The Consorci de la Ribera works in collaboration with the municipalities of the Ribera to coordinate annual aerial treatments aimed at minimising the presence of the black fly.
The Agency for Equality and Coexistence of the Ribera Alta Association of Municipalities has organised the ‘Gender and Health’ conference, linked to the International Day of Action for Women’s Health and marking the 30th anniversary of the regional body. The event, held in Alginet and attended by around 100 people, examined gender differences in health and violence against women in the healthcare sector through presentations by three specialists.
The institution is strengthening its international relations to mark its 30th anniversary with a framework memorandum of understanding with the African country. The memorandum aims to strengthen local governance through an agreement between supramunicipal entities and to promote sustainable development
The Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta has organised a cycle tour along the Camí Natural de l’Antic Trenet to mark the institution’s 30th anniversary. The event was a success and highlighted the historical and natural heritage of the trail during a cultural and healthy day out, which also formed part of the 26th National Greenways Day.
Rafelguaraf hosted the conference “La Ribera and Europe in Climate Action: Funds that Transform Territories”. This initiative was organised by the Consorci de la Ribera through PATER – the Territorial Pact for Employment in La Ribera. The event forms part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta.
The Consorci de la Ribera and the associations of municipalities of Ribera Alta, Ribera Baixa and La Safor inaugurated the second Animal Shelter, located in the town of l’Alcúdia. The facility joins the one in Tavernes de la Valldigna, which has been serving more than 60 municipalities across the three regions since October 2025.
The museums of La Ribera have analysed their challenges during a technical conference organised by the Heritage Department of the Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta, as part of the institution’s 30th anniversary, and the Alzira Town Council. With the support of the Interreg Learning Platform project and the participation of six European experts, the event focused primarily on modernisation and digitisation.
The 2026 Trofeu Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta concluded with the men’s and women’s raspall finals at the Guadassuar trinquet. Erika, Myriam and Isabel defeated Vanessa, Natalia and Marina 25-05 in the first match, whilst Vercher and Seve claimed the title after beating Ian, Murcianet and Momparler 25-10.
